Esmeralda folded clothes, her worker had gone out on break and the creatures of the night had come in and made a mess of her store. She sighed, wincing as a sharp pain shot from the place where her fangs used to be. Christoph had done well to defang her, but it didn’t stop her from reaching the ultimate goal. There seemed to be a long of enemies on the island, and allies. Those allies were growing in number, and she was content about the fact.
The bell at the door rang, and Esmeralda’s gaze wondered to the customer. Putting down the article of lingerie, she made herself be seen, letting the customer know that there was someone there to help.
"Hello, welcome to my boutique. How may I help you?" she asked, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear.
